Fast and Fabulous – Spring Polka Dots

It has been raining in Chicago all day long… and I have been in meetings all day long!  It’s just been one of those days where it was non stop thinking… so comfort food comes to mind… tuna casserole!  And whacky as it sounds I got inspired to make dots from the green peas!  Can you see the polka dots?  Awe… come on… you can… and you want some … nice pool party colored polka dots about 1 1/4″ in size and floating on whisper white cardstock that has been sprayed with homemade frosted white shimmer spray…

Can you imagine?  The beauty and simpleness of polka dots?  Dancing on a card … waiting to bless someone special?

So I created a sheet of polka dots and cut it down to size… and then decorated the embossed cardstock with Flags!!! but not just any flags… flags that have been monochrome stamped with cute images from the Oh Hello stampset… colors of the flags are pool party, calypso coral and crumb cake… and to embellish the flags I used a soda pop top that had the rose from the oh hello stamp set … to make it real pretty put some dazzling diamonds glitter adhesive on the rose before you pour the crystal effects on top!  Very fun…

To make the polka dots, simply punch evenly a row of dots using cardstock… then follow the directions shown in the picture:

Oh gosh I hope you can try this one… make a bunch of polka dot sheets so that you can quickly make polka dot cards!

Try different sizes… ooh try with small heart punch!!!

Enjoy and hope YOU can try this one… it is very easy and quick – have to let the crystal effects dry over night…
