2013 Spring Beautiful Crosses

Isn’t the whisper white craft ink beautiful against the perfect plum cardstock?  If you take the vanilla smooch shimmer spritz spray and give the cross a spritz after the whisper white craft ink dries… oooh you have a pretty pretty cross!!!

This card took no more than 15 minutes to make:

1. Cut whisper white cardstock 4 1/4″ x 11″… fold in half (5 1/2″) so that you have a vertical card.

2. Using whisper white ink and the flower cross stamp from the Crosses of Hope Stamp set, stamp the cross image onto perfect plum cardstock.

3. Using the Vanilla Shimmer smooch spritz spray, give the cross a smooch or two… hold the smooch spritz sprayer about 7 inches from the cardstock so that you get an even spray.

4. Cut out the cross once the smooch spritz spray is dry using paper snips.

5. Place a few pearl basic jewels on the cross to give dimension – I used the medium sized pearls (3mm)

6. Using whisper white card stock and the Framed Tulips embossing folder, emboss.

7. Cut the embossed cardstock so that each edge is centered and has even space on the edges.

8. Cut a 5″ piece of 3/8″ whisper white Taffeta Ribbon, you can trim later once affixed on the cross

6. Assemble the card:

– Center and affix the 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed cardstock onto the card using snail adhesive or glue dots.

– Take the 3/8″ whisper white Taffeta Ribbon and wrap around cross.  I simply wrapped it around the front and crossed the two ends at the bottom of the cross.  Affix using glue dots at the top middle of the cross front and then at the bottom of the back of the cross where the two ends of the ribbon meet.  Trim the ribbon at the bottom as shown in the picture above.

– Using the stampin’ dimensionals (i used two), affix the cross to the embossed card stock.

Inkspirations:

– make a bunch of crosses and keep in your stash of embellishments when you need to make a quick card or embellish a scrapbook page.

– use my digital studio to create a card saying and punch out using a punch and affix to bottom right of card front or inside card.

Blessings… I hope YOU can try to make this one… it was quick and fun!
